Hello Sergio, I didn't know you'd had an inguinal injury. I don't know if it was a hernia or not. I went through that too. I had surgery, but there's also good information here:

Reverse crunches and crunches with the legs spread as wide as they'll go can work the lower abdominals to help prevent and/or heal inguinal injuries. Those exercises are described on the page linked above I think.

It would be good to see how you're doing now, Marko, and if you've kept training since last October.

General Discussion / Reg Park Pressing Photo

Reg apparently while filming an Italian film, pressing maybe 150 to 180 lbs total weight, just a guess. Maybe this is the Olympic set he had delivered so that he could continue workouts while filming.

The patella straps are designed to make the patella tendon track correctly. They can really help.

Wow Sergio, thanks a million for posting the original article. I've read this article in other forms but have never seen the original. It's great to see this stuff. Eric.

It was a great thing you did, Sergio, creating this site when the other Reg site became inaccessible. The vintage articles and routines give lots of inspiration. Eric.

Thank you very much Sergio for posting that. At last we can see the original source for the Reg-Spencer Churchill routine.

Exercises and workouts / Re: routine with dbs of John Grimek

Hello Sergio,

There is also an abbreviated routine which Grimek recommended, which included DB work, but I'm not sure where to find it right now.

I wonder when this "complement" routine you posted was used, in relation to their Olympic lifting--if it was same day, or on days they didn't do Olympic lifts, or what.
