I don't know, Eric.  But I hace more Grimek's articles from H&S times that I have to post. Maybe in one of them are the photos of this routine or other with dbs, because I remember seeing it.

Hello Sergio,

There is also an abbreviated routine which Grimek recommended, which included DB work, but I'm not sure where to find it right now.

I wonder when this "complement" routine you posted was used, in relation to their Olympic lifting--if it was same day, or on days they didn't do Olympic lifts, or what.

Uright rowing:  5 x 3 accelerating the upload.

Ups, acceleration uploading is too bad for the frontal head.  That cheat old movement...so good in the beggining but...

Here is from a unknow mag of the forties a rouine of Grimek with dbs, use by him and all the lifters of York as a complement for the the heavy lifting of that times:

Snatch with two fbs: 3 sets of 8 reps.
Press wit dbs:  5 x 5
Uright rowing:  5 x 3 accelerating the upload.
Side Bends: 1 x 20-25 (each side).
Shurg: 2 x 12.
Dbs laterals: 2 x 12.
Swings with one hand: 1 x 15-20 (with each hand).
